Edinburgh is well known as a festival city. Possibly best known for the Edinburgh International Festival which in 2019 runs from 2nd to 26th August. Don't forget the Fireworks concert at 9.00pm on 26th August.

The 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival starts on 2nd August and runs until 26th August.

This year's Edinburgh International Book Festival runs from 10th to 26th August.

The Edinburgh International Film Festival is from 19th to 30th June.

From 2nd to 24th August 2017 the historic Edinburgh Castle will be home to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
